As we settle into the heart of low season, it’s no secret that central Pattaya is quieter than it’s been in years. For many locals and long-term expats, this might just be the most subdued stretch they’ve seen in decades. With tourist numbers down and hotel occupancy dipping well below expected averages, a walk through the city centre reveals just how still things have become. Some businesses are tightening belts, others are weathering the lull, but the consensus is clear: central Pattaya is in hibernation.
Yet it’s not all doom and gloom.
In fact, for those in the know, this is one of the best times to visit. With fewer crowds, no queues, and a city that feels like your own private playground, you can enjoy everything Pattaya has to offer without the chaos. Think of it as the VIP experience, minus the price tag. For those already here or considering a visit, the world truly is your oyster.

Even more encouraging is how our clubs in Jomtien and Pratumnak are thriving. These areas, long favored by retirees and seasoned expats, have remained vibrant. With a community less affected by the swings of global tourism and more anchored in stable income and lifestyle choices, our venues here are seeing numbers equal to, and in some cases better than, the high season. It's proof that while the city centre sleeps, other parts of Pattaya are very much alive and kicking.
So while some parts of town may be taking a breather, opportunity is knocking elsewhere. If you're after great company, exceptional service, and a bit of peace with your pleasure, now is the perfect time to enjoy it.
Our fortnightly pool parties at our Maggie Mays Resort in Jomtien have already become a popular success with a colourful variety of patron's visiting to enjoy our free BBQ, wet t-shirt contest and other pool games as well as the comfortable GC on-site which now boasts a state of the art jacuzzi with bar seating around the edge.
Want to stay at our resort? We are now accepting 7 day minimum bookings but be sure to book in advance as we get booked up very quickly. Check availability now for your desired dates and secure them whilst you can!
Our next pool party is on Saturday 12th of July starting at 1pm and going through until Midnight. We fire up the wet t-shirt contest and BBQ's around 3pm and serve delicious burgers, hotdogs and kebabs until early evening.
We do 2 pool parties per month so to keep up to date with all future events you can join our Discord Server or add our Official Line Account if you prefer.

CatFlaps in Pratumnak has remained strong throughout the low season lull so far and we've even been able to renovate and refresh our paintwork so it looks even better than it did before!

We've also added a fantastic new Taco Friday food special. Every Friday from 3pm the Taco's are on us if you buy a Lady Drink. There's chicken and pork to choose from plus toppings of pico, queso and guac to really elevate the authentic taco experience. See for yourself in the gallery below, it's not to be missed!
Other GC News
Buzzin Lounge has now taken over the entirety of the rooms above the bar which will be available to book through the Buzzin Website very soon. It's a great location opposite Maggie Mays on Soi Chaiyapoon, perfect for those who wish to stay in a central location.
Camel Toe has also undergone a refresh with a new lick of paint, a new ceiling and a bit of spring cleaning. It's worth a trip out along with a visit to our other club 200 metres down the road, Free Willy
Palmy's has now been rebranded to The Brass House due to Palmy pulling out of the business due to health reasons. This was another club that we recently renovated and also doubled the size of. We're now looking into a food special to add to our weekly rounds and it sounds like London style pie, mash and liquor will be the winner. Coming soon to The Brass House!
Guinness Club
Members of our ever-growing Guinness Club can now show off outside of the bars with our latest addition, the Guinness Club T-Shirt. Available exclusively to Guinness Club members for just 500 baht. Visit any Maggie Mays venue to order. There's a 7 day lead time so be sure to order early in your trip if you don't live here.
Not a member of The Guinness Club yet? Join at any of our Maggie Mays locations by speaking to the manager about Guinness Club.

Diversification (Thai Market and Digital Nomads)
Saneha Suki continues to adapt it's offerings to cater to Thai locals with new weekend specials, weekly and monthly offers as well as more additions to it's buffet and beverage section.
We've also added a couple of new features to soften the blow if a foreigner gets dragged with their Thai partner. The Hotpot from Hell challenge gives an interesting and unique spin on the suki experience, finish 1 of each menu item dipped in the extra spicy broth within 1 hour to win a free meal and free beer.

If you're not feeling up to the challenge then a more traditional meal experience can be enjoyed from the Sharples fish and chip truck parked outside (starting next month - date to be announced). They will soon be more than happy to prepare your favourite meal and bring it inside for you to enjoy alongside your partner's hotpot.
The Badger on Khao Talo will become a cafe from July 1st. Opening from 10am until 8pm serving high quality coffee, tea, cakes and snacks. Alcohol will still be available for our regulars that enjoy the 49b Chang draft special.

Prices of bottled beers and other drinks will be reduced more in-line with non-GC style bars but with the added benefit of air-conditioning, peaceful environment and high-speed internet which allows remote workers a comfortable and well equipped space in which to work.
Maggie Mays Darkside will get an influx of new ladies as we relocate the current line up from The Badger to there, in case you were wondering where they might end up. This should make Maggie Mays Darkside a lot more fun with 20+ ladies.
